This Week On The Bible Forum

Recent News Outlets have given us an almost non-stop account of a now-resigned U.S. Representative who is telling how Washington works, from the inside, if we can believe him. But his descriptions ring true, considering what's at stake.

Politics is a dirty business. It is truly a "Blood Sport." The current environment seems more intense, given the issues at stake. The public and our elected officials WANT National Healthcare. No one seems to be against it, simply arguing over what form it will take.

But, is it Right? This is the question Christians should ask about everything, especially when we take public stands on social or political issues. It's a largely ignored reality, when the atmosphere is super-charged with emotional issues. The Religious Right became all-too political, over the last 20 years, and has paid the price of being marginalized due in large part for being over-zealous and too gullible.

This week we'll tackle the issue of "What's Right In The Health Care Debate?" Of course, the key questions is: What's Right and Who Decides? Shouldn't The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ be standing for Right, not Expediency?
