Pastor Abedini Focus Of New Iranian Prison Raid– Obama Administration Ignores His Plight In Negotiating Treaty:
Human Right Activists News Agency Iran reported on Wednesday that Pastor Saeed [Abedini]’s condition in Rajai Shahr prison was very worrisome and that on August 6th, prison guards raided Pastor Saeed’s prison cell again,” the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) outlines. “The news agency reports that Saeed was the sole target of the raid and that the guards’ actions toward Pastor Saeed were dishonorable and harsh.”

The organization, which has been fighting for Abedini’s release for nearly the past three years, also says that the Iranian government has not allowed the pastor to speak to his wife and children via telephone.

INDIA: A mob of 100 Hindus raided a Church Supper in a village in Northeast India, seriously injuring 3 Christians, including a 7 year old girl, back in April. Church members have now fled that village. Rev. David Boro of Guwahati said, “Right now there are no Christians in the village. The Christian families who were the main target of the attack are no win a safe-house after they were released from the hospital. The more critically injured are still there. When they are released, they too will flee.

NIGERIA: Muslims killed a church pastor and more than 70 other Christians in Plateau state in May. They then set fire to the buildings. The pastor is dead, along with a woman who had been married in the church only 2 weeks earlier.

Sources report sieges and invasions are routine almost every day and, to date, there has been no serious action from any quarter by the government. Church leaders view this as a ‘war by Islam to eliminate Christianity’ in Nigeria.

Over 1,000 children have been killed in airstrikes during the nation’s ongoing civil war. An additional 1.5 million people have been wounded for life in the airstrikes that have been carried out by Syria’s government, according to a new report from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The Christian Post reports the children are extremely vulnerable in the conflict. An attack in Aleppo left children “burned beyond recognition” in May, as barrel bombs were used.

U.N. envoy to Syria and Iraq Staffan de Mistura said at the time of the attack, “The use of barrel bombs must stop. All evidence shows that the overwhelming majority of the civilian victims in the Syrian conflict have been caused by the use of such indiscriminate aerial weapons.”

Mob threatens to burn Pakistani Christians alive and publicly humiliates them after blasphemy accusation
A Christian family in Maki Chak 460, a village in Pakistan’s Punjab province, was paraded through the village by a Muslim mob in an act of utter humiliation on June 30 after Awais Qamar and his wife, Rukhsana, were accused of “blasphemy” because they unknowingly used a banner with a verse from the Quran as a sleeping mat.

Christians in Sinai flee as Islamic State affiliate ramps up violence in EgyptEgypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb has declared that the country is in a “state of war” after a car bomb killed a top prosecutor in Cairo on Monday (June 29) and the Egyptian affiliate of Islamic State, known as Sinai Province, attacked several military checkpoints in the country’s North Sinai governorate on Wednesday (July 1). But Christians have been fleeing the region for months, forced out of their homes as jihadist groups accuse them of being involved in the ousting of President Morsi in 2013.

Pastor Farshid Fathi Gets Early Release Date from Iranian PrisonFarshid Fathi, an Iranian pastor who has been imprisoned for his faith since 2010, has received news that he will be released early. Fathi was serving a six-year sentence for exercising his Christian faith freely. Fathi’s new prison release date is Dec. 10, 2015. Originally, the pastor was supposed to be held until Dec. 2017.

Detroit Pastors Oppose Unveiling of Satanic Statue
Christian Today reports the Satanic Temple intends to unveil a statue of the idol Baphomet on July 25 at Bert’s Warehouse, a location close to a Ten Commandments monument. The group first pushed to erect the statue next to the Ten Commandments monument on Oklahoma’s capitol grounds, but the request was denied by Oklahoma’s Supreme Court.
