'That The Lame May Walk' by Warren Sprouse
There are seven qualities listed in The Bible which, if followed, guarantee that the true Christian will never fall. That these qualities are largely ignored by most of the books written to help New Believers may answer the questions about why The Church is so spiritually weak. This book is offered with the prayer that God would revive His Church, one believer at a time. And that He would start with me. $10.98 Ships in 3–5 business days

What Is Pat Robertson Talking About?
Years ago Jeanne Dixon would make New Years Predictions which were published in a National Magazine and received a fairly wide range of notoriety. Her declared rate of accuracy was 40% -- the same as the Law of Averages [what you get flipping a coin and calling it correctly, over time].
At the same time, the U.S. Weather Bureau claimed 70% accuracy and No One Believed Them!
What possesses a man to expose himself to ridicule, year after year, as he tries to make people believe God is talking to him about the fate of humanity in coming days? Does he believe the fact that he spends a week in prayer gives him credibility? Does he believe God wants him to do this? Does he believe it's necessary?
It's certainly NOT his success rate! This year he's not even talking about what God told him concerning our Presidential Election results. He says God told him not to say anything about it. Question: why tell Pat?
Forget the practical implications. Forget the threat to his reputation. Forget that nowhere in The Bible are Christians told to do this -- or given any indication they can. There is something driving Pat besides pride, unless he just doesn't have any.
The Bible specifically says we "have all we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue." [II Pet. 1:3] Should we take this literally? Is there any other way to take it? If knowing the future is important, I'd like to know something far more specific to my situation than the vague ramblings about politics, the economy or Iran.
What drives the Pat Robertsons of this world is something far more basic: greed! I believe Pat is padding his pockets with these predictions. His audience is being told that Pat is a Prophet of God. Pat has the gift of 'the word of knowledge' knowing of people's maladies, which he apparently has the power to heal. Listen to his prayers. It keeps them listening and sending money. The same is true with prophetic predictions.
With yearly predictions, he's adding another spiritual reason for folks to tune in and sow their 'seed' in his ministry rather than someone else's. It's the merchandising of mens' souls for gain. The message? "I have God's ear!" "If you want a connection with God, it's me!"
He appears foolish to most, but to 'the faithful' he's a godly spiritual leader who only wants to help.
The Biblical Truth? He's fleecing the sheep!
